How to keep a kitchen clean and tidy
Keeping the kitchen always clean and tidy without effort would be wonderful, right? The reality, unfortunately, is quite different, but that does not mean that you need to spend hours of your day every day to keep the kitchen organized and scented.
Today's tips are specifically for the kitchen which, we know, is one of the hardest parts of the house to clean and keep clean and tidy for longer!
However, a few simple tricks can help you waste less time cleaning, so you can do more of what you really enjoy, tasks that involve your well-being and your personal and professional development.
Sink always clean
Dirty crockery on the sink is the first thing that shows a disorganized kitchen, so the rule of thumb is: dirty, washed! Here at home, I usually do the dishes while cooking, which ends up speeding up the process for me! Another important rule here is to always sleep with the clean sink, because the feeling of waking up and knowing that there is no work to do in the kitchen is simply wonderful!
Sanitize the dish sponge
Another very important task when we talk about cleaning the kitchen is the cleaning of the dishwasher sponge. The sponge you use to wash the dishes needs to be sanitized daily, as it accumulates fungi and bacteria that are harmful to health. The hygiene is very simple: just wash the sponge very well after use and then leave it submerged in a container with boiling water for 10 minutes. Also, be sure to change the kitchen sponge once every 15 days.
Cleaning the coffee bottle
Remember to sanitize the coffee bottle too. Baking soda can also help you eliminate coffee stains and clean the thermos. To do this, add 2 tablespoons of baking soda in the bottle, complete with hot water, close the bottle and let it act for at least 1 hour. After that, just rinse and the bottle will be clean! Repeat this process whenever I find it necessary!
Always clean and organized fridge
The ideal is to clean the refrigerator completely every 15 days. Use a soft sponge and a small amount of water, detergent and vinegar to do the cleaning. The organization is also very important, to avoid spoiled food inside the refrigerator.
Trash without bad smell
Do not forget to take out the trash daily. Wash the bin normally and, when you feel it necessary, use a paste of baking soda and lukewarm water to remove the bad smell from inside the bin. Just add 2 tablespoons of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of warm water into a container, mix until you form a pastry and then pass that baking soda paste inside the bin.
Always clean floor
Wipe a damp cloth soaked in direct cleaning solution and use to make a quick clean on the kitchen floor. The ease of using direct products is to be able to perform the cleaning very quickly, without needing water or bucket.
Dishes always cleaned
Change the dishcloth every 2 days at the most, and place immediately to wash. If they are white, you can soak in a mixture of water, bleach and soap powder. Soak for a few hours and then wash and rinse normally.
I know that by looking at this to-do list, it just seems complicated or too hard to clean the kitchen. But the truth is: cleaning only becomes complicated or laborious when you leave for later. When dirt accumulates, it is inevitable to spend hours of your day cleaning. So my tip is: do a little bit every day.
